FENDER | Eric Clapton Stratocaster | 1988 | Yellow

fen-clapton_strat-1989-yellow-1.jpg

Make: FENDER
Model: ERIC CLAPTON model STRATOCASTER
Vintage: 1988
Finish:

Stage: "All I Want Is You", "Desire", "God Part II", "I Will Follow", "New Years Day", "Where The Streets Have No Name",

Studio: uncertain

Notes: Seems that this may have been a proto-type of the E.C. Stratocaster. The finish alone was not a production finish for the Clapton. The yellow and red Eric Clapton Stratocasters were seen before nor since the 1989/90 Lovetown tour. It was used as a main stage guitar for songs that had traditionally been Stratocaster ("...Streets..."), Gibson Les Paul songs ("New Years Day" & "Desire") and even songs that had been traditionally played on his Gibson Explorer ("I Will Follow").
